ABOUT X
We’re looking for an amazing Architect to join our firm!
Cross (X) Architecture is a pioneering architecture and urban design firm with offices in Coronado, CA; Fort Langley, BC; and Las Catalinas, Costa Rica.
With work across North America and a number of projects overseas, the firm is committed to design excellence and continuously pushing creative boundaries. Our creative endeavors are unique and aspirational, and we strive to inspire and stoke the curiosity of the people who engage and interact with our work.
With a highly experienced team of architects, interior designers and urban planners, we take on projects that are unique in size, typology and budget, with one key underlying prerequisite: we only work for amazing clients. This equation has always resulted in unexpected creativity and coincidentally, fun.
the position
1. Licensed architect, or non-registered graduate, with 3+ years of experience. Applicants must be registered with the AIBC, or eligible to be registered in the province of British Columbia.
2. Must be results driven. We love achieving amazing results here at X and want you to too.
3. Ideal candidate has experience with overall project management, and has experience in a variety of projects or project teams (including client contact, scheduling, and budgeting). Experience in a variety of construction types (ie. residential, commercial and industrial) is an asset.
4. We use Revit 95% of the day, so proficiency is a must. Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as Enscape and Google Suite is an asset.
5. We are looking for a person who enjoys delivering remarkable experiences to other people. The ideal person will need to be someone who feels good by making other people feel good - they must understand that client and consultant relationships are key for any architectural masterpiece to turn out as desired. The right fit will be systematic and meticulous in their work. Buildings are a reflection of the people who design them as well as the people who occupy them. If the architect behind them isn’t meticulous, it shows.
