SOHAL

2017 - ongoing

Located at 88th Avenue and 120th Street in the commercial area of Surrey, the building is designed as a sculptural 3-storey object. Composed of three abutting cubes, the building masses are offset in height and position from one other. With a curtain wall of expansive glazing running from floor to ceiling, the building aims to create a striking address along 88 Avenue while creating a landmark visualization point along 120th street.

Structurally, each massing cube is formed by an interconnected steel frame that enables the boxes to be slotted and stacked into one another to form the completed building. Together, the 3 cubes will provide 7,400 sq.ft. of lettable retail/commercial work space, with glazed facades that allow the area to be flooded with light.
